The Rosehill Manor, with its massive chandelier and 30 foot ceiling in the main hall, formal gardens, and spectacular mountain views, is the private home of Innkeeper Moon Mullens.  The estate is perfectly nestled against a hillside above the tiny mountain village of Index, Washington (population 160), in the heart of the North Cascade Range.
Only 1 mile off State Highway 2, 25 miles west of Stevens Pass, the enchanting hideaway affords private, deluxe accommodations, and convenient access to a wide variety of recreational opportunities, such as hiking, fishing, climbing, horseback riding, backroad biking, fishing, commercial whitewater rafting, and kayaking.  The photographer finds paradise in unsurpassed mountain views, ancient forests, and abundant wildlife.
Designed and built by Moon Mullen and her husband in 1998, the home has the unique ambiance of an authentic European manor.  Each generously sized room is lavishly decorated with antiques and chandeliers.  You'll feel transported to a romantic bygone era of gracious, elegant living.  Your hostess will be happy to provide a tour.
Moon invites you to stroll among the Greco-Roman statuary in the formal garden.  Gaze upon its classic landscape architecture, lush plantings, and amusing gargoyles.
Famous for her hallmark European hospitality, your gracious hostess is proud to provide her guests with the finest amenities, ensuring a comfortable stay.  You'll be talking about your visit to The Rosehill Manor long after you've gone home, and the memories will last forever.

A very special "wedding garden" and arbor provides the perfect place on Earth to exchange vows, against a backdrop of the rugged majesty of Mt. Index and surrounding mountain walls.
"Today I became Mrs. G.  The ceremony was beautiful and intimate.  We held it on the patio with the back drop of Mount Index.  A harpist played romantic music from the covered patio.  We entered the garden through the French doors and took our places side by side.  The sun caressed our faces as did a gentle breeze.  The day, the setting, the feelings we shared were perfect.  Thank you Moon and Martin for sharing your beautiful home with us."

"I came here today as a single woman.  I am to be married tomorrow in the “secret garden” that can be seen just outside the bedroom window.  Tonight I relax and spend the evening soaking in the romantic clawfoot bathtub with a small candle as my only light.  I worry, as all brides do, about how everything will go tomorrow. But I remain optimistic.  The beauty of this serene setting helps to calm me.  Words seem inadequate in describing this sanctuary.  It’s the feeling you get when you enter through the garden gate that truly captures your heart.  Let us see what tomorrow brings….."
